New Start is a family run not-for-profit organisation providing residential and supported accommodation services for homeless people or people with little or no housing choice.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within New Start Adult Services for a qualified Substance Misuse Resettlement Worker.
To work as part of a team providing quality accommodation and support services for vulnerable adults participating in, and seeking recovery within, a safe and secure environment.
To manage a caseload incorporating both elements of the service; and provide daytime visiting support which integrates both targeted and structured support planning that ties into an overall resettlement plan.
To provide quality support, advocacy, advice and guidance in an Abstinence-based or Harm Reduction accommodation settings within the Project – enabling Service Users to keep a consistent network of support to aid with their personal recovery goals.
To work within the framework of New Start’s policies and procedures.
This is an essential car user post which requires a valid driving licence and use of own car. In addition you will receive a £30 essential car user allowance and £0.40p per mile.
