Prospect Lodge
Prospect Lodge specifically caters for individuals with enduring mental health issues who require 24 hour specialist support.
The service operates as single-site accommodation and is delivered in a large renovated Georgian house and former convent. In this building New Start provides a service for up to fifteen people with varied mental health issues. The service benefits from professional staffing twenty-four hours per day, facilitated a team of dedicated support workers, who have a deep understanding of the complex issues associated with mental illness.
Referrals to Prospect Lodge are made direct by Mental Health Teams and Homeless Agencies across Liverpool. The service is proven as being immensely effective in preventing the relapse of mental health and re-hospitalisation, whilst enabling resident’s to sustain living within the community and move towards greater independence.
New Start provide environments where residents can feel safe whilst receiving ongoing support (and when necessary intervention) to address any issues that my affect their ability to sustain their housing, which without support, may lead to further homelessness.
Prospect Lodge is currently commissioned by Liverpool’s Supporting People Body.
