In 2008 New Start participated in their first 'Investors in People' review to enable the service to gain recognition as an excellent employer, always striving for further improvement and development.

Using an outcome focused approach, the structure of the programme outlines what businesses need to achieve, but never prescribing how. This enables employers from every sector and size to use the framework to work towards achieving targets in-line with the nature of their business.
The programme encourages businesses to focus on the organisations key priorities and performance targets. New Start favours this framework and sees it as an essential tool to move the organisation forward in the adult & children support, care and housing sectors, improving staff performance to the highest attainable level possible along the journey.
New Start's values have created an ethos that drives the organisation "to be the best in all that they do".
In June 2011, New Start took part in a second 'Investors in People' Service Review to demonstrate that they were still performing to the high standards recognised in 2008; and to document the progress the organisation has made over the past 3 years. The outcome of the review was excellent and as a result of the findings the Assessor developed a 'Continuous Improvement Plan' for the organisation to work through before the next Review scheduled in 2014.
New Start is aiming to gain 'Silver Award' recognition before the review takes place. The organisation is confident that this is a fully achievable goal that can be attained by a motivated workforce, who feel valued and respected by the organisation in which they work.
New Start believes that the personal development of staff at every level within the company, and their involvement in key decision-making processes has played a principal role in the overall success of the company. This will continue to be a fundamental objective as New Start strives to develop strategies and deliver innovative services committed to empowering people, improving lives and benefiting communities.
